Friends of Chichester Hospital donate specialist incubator

Friends of Chichester Hospitals have donated a £15,000 specialist '˜giraffe' incubator to St Richard's neontal unit which will help staff care for vulnerable newborn babies.

The donation came after an appeal last year and a £1,000 cheque from Southern Fabrications (Sussex) Ltd, of Sidlesham (SFABS).

The appeal was coordinated by a Giraffe committee, chaired by Friends’ supporter Stella Hadley who worked tirelessly for almost a year to raise the £15,000 needed for just one Giraffe. The appeal led to a range of Giraffe-themed events being held.
