Fun and games for all at Camelsdale school
Governors, staff, parents and pupils from Camelsdale First School worked together to produce a fete where stalls and activities filled the playground.
There was so much to do and see that despite the closing time of 4pm there were parents and children still enjoying themselves well after that.
Human fruit machines, coconut shies, book stalls, cream teas, obstacle races and 'beat the goalie' were among the attractions – with even headteacher Sarah Palmer taking her turn in goal.
Delia Dallinger, head of the organising team, said it was hoped to raise more than the Christmas fair's 3,000.
"The top item on our wish list is to build a new kitchen, converting it out of the old IT room as part of the school's development," she said.
