Girl airlifted to hospital after crash in Chichester

A 15-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital after the car she was in crashed into a tree stump.

Roads policing officers are appealing for witnesses following the accident on Old Broyle Road, Chichester, at 2.24pm on Saturday (November 28).

A Ford Ka, driven by an 18-year-old local man, was travelling south when it appears to have lost control as it exited a right hand bend and struck a tree stump.

The driver suffered slight injuries but the passenger, from Chichester, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries, where she currently remains.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Sgt Neil Walker at Chichester Roads Policing Unit on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Waterbrook.
