Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this man in a bar in Chichester

POLICE have revealed today (February 12), that they are hunting a man after an assault in a Chichester bar.

Sussex Police has said it is appealing for witnesses after a man was headbutted in The Vestry last month.

The 20-year-old was attacked at in the South Street bar at about 11pm on Saturday, January 18.

He was taken to St Richard Hospital in Chichester suffering from a cut cheek, bruising and a suspected broken nose.

PC Gemma Bensusan said: “The attacker was white, 6ft and had dark hair. He was wearing a grey top, possibly a hoody.

“I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in The Vestry on the night of the attack and saw what happened or the moments beforehand.

“Please contact us if you recognise the man in the CCTV or know where he could be.”
