Lodsworth and District Garden Club anniversary show

Lodsworth and District Garden Club has a big event coming up at the village hall on Saturday – its 50th anniversary flower show.

Chairman Penny Olsen said in addition to the usual entries there will be a colourful display of scarecrows outside the hall plus a competition for the tallest sunflower, to be judged tomorrow (Friday, August 21) in the gardens where they are growing.

Doors will open to the public at 2pm and actress Geraldine James, who lives in Lodsworth, will be presenting the prizes at 4pm.
