AN EXPERIENCED businesswoman is set to join the trust board of the ambulance service.

Lucy Bloem has been appointed to South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s (SECAmb) council of governors as a non-executive director.

“I’m very much looking forward to continuing to develop SECAmb’s focus on patient experience,” said Lucy.

“I’m also looking forward to making a difference by supporting the work of such a vital service which impacts on everyone in our community.”

Lucy has been a partner at Deloitte Consulting since 2007 and a UK board member at the consulting group Accenture.

With a business career spanning 20 years, she has lived or worked in more than 20 different countries across four continents, bringing experience of different cultures and regulatory regimes.

Tony Thorne, SECAmb Trust chairman, said: “We are delighted to have on the board someone with Lucy’s experience.

“Her consulting background will help ensure we are addressing the key issues for our patients and that our plans are well thought through.”

Lucy is married with a four-year-old daughter and enjoys all things culinary and the outdoors.

She also has a passion for live theatre.
