NEW built-up kerbs in Summersdale are making life easier for residents who rely on buses to get around.
West Sussex County Council and former chairman of the Summersdale Residents Association, said: “We were approached by some of our residents who said there was a step which was causing problems.
“It didn’t conform to modern regulations so a highways officer came up with a design where the pavement was built up.
“It makes life a lot easier for people with pushchairs, the elderly or disabled. There is now easy access – just a small thing, but imporant to members of our community.”
