Night of horror for Help a Local Child charity
TWO local women are braving a night of ghosts and ghouls to raise money for charity.
Shirley Paver, from Steyning, and Janet Cuckney, from Fishersgate, will spend the night at Newhaven Fort as part of Southern FM's Night Fright.
The pair will be raising money for Help a Local Child, The Chestnut Tree House Appeal and The World Parrot Trust.
They will spend Hallowe'en night at Newhaven Fort, along with other ghost hunters and paranormal investigators Spirit Watch.

"I'm hoping to see something, even if it's just something that you think to yourself – was it there or wasn't it?" said Shirley.
Janet, 26, and her uncle, Ian Pursey, raised more than 1,000 for Diabetes UK earlier this year by getting friends to sponsor them for a tandem skydive.
She told the Herald then that she planned to stay at a haunted house over Hallowe'en to raise more money for charity.
"I saw that article in the Herald where Janet said she wanted to go to a haunted house," said 55-year-old Shirley.
"I've always wanted to do it, so we decided to go together."
To take part in the evening, Shirley and Janet, both members of Adur Theatre Company, had to prove they could raise a minimum of 100 each for Southern FM's charity – Help A Local Child.
They then chose one charity each with which to split the rest of their sponsorship money.
