No plans to stop Chichester therapy service

THERE are no plans to stop providing a therapy service for children in Chichester, the Sussex Community NHS Trust has said.

The trust which provides the service said Theraplay at the Westhampnett Child Development Centre, which provides physiotherapy, occupational and speech and language therapy for children, will continue to offer specialist support.

The trust’s head of children services Pauline Lambert said: “What we do varies according to the needs of each individual child.

“We anticipate we will need to adapt the ways we work in the near future as a result changes being proposed by West Sussex County Council.

“However, we have no plans to close our therapy and assessment service. We aim to ensure that our service users are largely unaffected by any changes we need to make.”
