Observer Business Awards countdown starts
The Observer Business Awards are back.
For the third year running we are searching for those who have strived for business excellence, in what has undoubtedly been the most difficult year of the decade.
Despite the struggle, there are sure to be some fantastic success stories out there, so if you think your business has achieved something special fill out an entry form and you could be a winner.
There are 15 different categories to enter this year, recognising small and big businesses, innovation, environmentally friendly businesses, and much more.
Three judges will whittle down the entries into a final shortlist which will be announced before the awards evening on March 26 next year.
Observer series editor Colin Channon said: "The Observer Business Awards are a great way of highlighting the outstanding achievers, and entrepreneurs in our area.
"Given that it has been an extremely difficult year for businesses in the middle of a recession, what better way is there to pick up people's spirits by celebrating all that's good about our business community?
"The awards are easy to enter, and who knows, you could be among those recognised as outstanding achievers by our judging panel.
"The past two awards evenings have been fantastic occasions, with plenty of great stories of struggling to overcome obstacles to get to the top, so why not join us in March by entering as soon as possible?"
Observer marketing, events and sponsorship manager Dianne Gill said: "It's our third year and it has grown every year with more and more entries.
"The awards are a great mark of recognition for businesses to show off, as most who have one want to display the award's logo next to their name.
"It shows how much it has become valued in the area since we started two years ago, which is a fantastic reflection on those who have taken part."
TV personality Fred Dinenage is on board to compre the awards evening at the Hilton Avisford Park in Walberton.
