FIELDS of lavender near Chichester have been open for the public to enjoy.
Julia Hixson from Chichester, said: “Having parked in he rustic farmyard we sauntered down the farm track drawn by the powerful scent of lavender until greeted by an absolutely glorious sight.
“The lavender meadow was a sea of vivid purple, contrasted against a backdrop of golden corn fields and green pastures, and alive with bees and butterflies.”
Lordington Lavender was established in 2002 by local farmer Andrew Elms and the site now has four acres of Mailette lavender.
