A COUPLE are desperately seeking their tan-coloured Lurcher, Elmer, that went missing last week.

Elmer was last seen on the A29 near Whiteways Roundabout at the top of Bury Hill on Wednesday, August 20.

Elmer ran off while the owners, who live in Chichester, were staying near Whiteways picnic area in Houghton Forest on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 19.

Elmer jumped out of his owner’s camper van ran onto the road, was knocked by a car and then continued running and disappeared into the woods.

The dog is said to be timid but not vicious in any way.

If you have any information about Elmer’s whereabouts please call 07940 555574 or news@chiobserver.co.uk
