Police rescue boy from well
POLICE rescued a five-year- old boy after he fell down a well in Birdham.
The youngster was stuck in the well on private land in the village for a short time on Wednesday, February 15.
He was rescued by police officers who were the first emergency services on the scene in Church Lane at 10.30am.
They used a broomstick to pull him out of the ten-foot deep well.
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the boy was up to his waist in water, but was unharmed after being pulled to safety.
