Putting their best feet forward to Hike 4 Hospices
A FUNDRAISING hike across beautiful countryside has been declared a massive success after 300 people took part – double last year's numbers.
Some grabbed their friends and colleagues and others man's best friend for the walk across the South Downs to raise hundreds of pounds in the second annual Hike 4 Hospices in aid of four Sussex hospices including St Wilfrid's.
The 42-mile weekend-long walk was split into four legs with participants opting to do some or all of the course.
Each participant received a medal and a bottle of London Pride courtesy of Fullers Brewery.
Other hospices to benefit were St Barnabas House in Worthing, St Peter and St James in North Chailey and The Martlets in Hove.
Donations are still being collected and the total amount raised is expected to run into hundreds of pounds. To donate visit www.hike4hospices.co.uk
