Road works in Bognor Regis and Arundel

Re-surfacing road works in the Bognor Regis and Arundel area have started.

The works are part of the A27 Causeway Roundabout to Crossbush Interchange near Arundel. Yesterday (January 27) both carriageways of the A27 between Station Road and just north of Crossbush Lane were closed.

Westbound road users had to be diverted south at Crossbush Interchange on to the A284, the A259, through Bognor Regis, the A29 to rejoin the A27 at Fontwell. Eastbound road users will follow the same route in the opposite direction.

From today (Saturday, January 28) until Tuesday, January 31, there will be lane closures, temporary traffic lights and a 40mph speed limit on the A27, with road users escorted past the work at 10mph; access will be maintained to all side roads.

From Wednesday, February 1 until Tuesday, February 14 there will be lane closures, temporary traffic lights and a 40mph speed limit on the A27 with road users escorted past the works at 10mph.

As part of this section of work, from Wednesday until Friday February 10 there will be no access or exit from Queen Street onto the Causeway roundabout. Road users will need to follow a short local diversion route via Ford Road roundabout.

The works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am.
