SHOREHAM Harbour could become an eco-town if a joint bid by three local councils and Shoreham Port is successful.
Housing minister John Healey announced proposals for a second wave of eco-towns yesterday (Tuesday, December 1) and pledged 10 million to support nine councils develop the plans.
One of the proposed sites was Shoreham Harbour.
Chairman of the Shoreham Harbour regeneration project Peter Latham said: "We really welcome John Healey's statement and are pleased he recognises the importance of Shoreham Harbour."
