St Lawrence Fair captures the moment
A time rift opened up in Hurstpierpoint as suffragettes marched alongside cave girls and injured soldiers from the Crimea followed Florence Nightingale's lamp.
The theme of this year's St Lawrence Fair procession was One Moment In Time… with a stream of colourful historical events unfolding in front of a huge crowd of spectators.
The sun shone and the crowds came out to watch the procession through the High Street to arena and stalls on South Avenue.
Arena events included the annual tug-of-war competition between local pubs which was won this year by the White Horse. Hurst's own version of Gladysators was another highlight as two teams fought it out based on the TV programme.
