A ‘SELFLESS’ teenager has shaved his head for charity.
Morgan Harris had his head shaved in front of his schoolmates at The Academy, Selsey, on Monday afternoon to raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
“I want people to realise that just because someone loses their hair because of cancer makes them no different to someone who shaves their hair,” said the 15-year-old on his fundraising webpage.
“Also for people who have suffered, I want them to know people are supporting them and care.”
Morgan, who is in Year 11 and lives in Plover Close, East Wittering, has already smashed his fundraising target of £200, but now hopes more people might be willing to sponsor him.
“I’m so proud,” said his aunt, Sara Morley.
“It would be brilliant for him to get more money.
“It’s just such a selfless thing to have done.
“He’s just such a lovely, selfless boy.
“You don’t get many 15-year-olds like this.”
Morgan took time out from studying for his GCSEs for the charity head shave.
Teachers, friends and family have all been sponsoring Morgan’s efforts.
Anyone who would like to help him increase his current total – which was £213 when the Observer went to press – can visit his fundraising page.
