Tribute after Emsworth train death

A FAMILY paid tribute to the man killed on the railway line at Emsworth last week.

Sean Green, 43, of Portsmouth, died on Monday, March 24 after he was struck by a train near Emsworth at about 7.30pm.

He died at the scene.

His brother-in-law-law, Matt Eaton, paid tribute to him, and said: “Sean was 43 years old and although born in Scotland, he spent most of his life in Kent, and for the past six years he chose to live in Portsmouth.

“Sean was a very private person and would often offer a helping hand.

“Sean was under the local health authorities for the past few years and was on various medications, however, help from the authorities just didn’t work.

“The family believe it was a suicide death.

“He leaves behind a loving sister.

“Sean’s funeral will be held at Porchester Crematorium on Friday, March 11.”

The coroner has been informed, and an inquest will be held to establish the circumstances of Mr Green’s death.
