Two cars broken into at Lavant and Goodwood

THIEVES have struck twice within hours, targeting unattended cars.

Police are appealing for witnesses to two thefts from unattended motor vehicles that occurred today (February 22).

The first theft happened between 10.30am and 11.30am at Two Barns Lane, in Lavant.

A rear windscreen was smashed and a handbag stolen.

Anyone with information relating to this incident should call 101 and quote serial 0677 of February 22.

The second incident occurred this afternoon at 12.25pm at The Trundle car park at Goodwood.

The passenger window was smashed and a handbag was stolen.

Police said the car park is believed to have been full at the time of the theft.

A spokesman said: “Did you see what happened? Did you see anyone acting suspicious in and around the car park?”

He added: “Please could we remind people to not leave valuables in their vehicles and to remain vigilant. If you see something suspicious, please report it.”
