THE head teacher of Chichester High School for Girls has announced the school will be open as usual.

The school was planning to only remain open for students in years 7,11 and sixth form.

Yamin Maskatiya, head teacher, said: “Further to my letter to you of March 19, regarding the planned strike day on Wednesday, several teachers have since withdrawn from taking part in this.

“As a result, I am pleased to confirm that the school will be open as normal on Wednesday, March 26.”

The industrial action planned by the National Union of Teacher is a continuation of protests over pay and pensions.

Will you be affected by the strikes?

Are you planning to strike?
