MORE THAN 50 tonnes of straw has caught fire on land just off the Drayton roundabout on the A259.
Firefighters were called at 1.32am today (August 7), with crews from Chichester and Bognor Regis attending.
The crews dampened out the immediate surrounding area and the straw is being allowed to burn out.
A fire break was created by a farmer using a digger to stop the flames from spreading.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service left the scene when the video was filmed around 1.30pm, with a crew due to check in again today to see how the fire was progressing.
The fire was in a field near the Chichester Food Park, off the A259 Drayton roundabout.
