TWO men arrested in a Chichester car park on Tuesday (May 27) have been bailed.
A 47-year-old Selsey man and a 41-year-old man from Croydon were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply after a class-A drug was found on the back seat of a car.
They were arrested as police followed up a raid on three properties in the city with a check on the BMW car parked in the Portfield Retail Park car park.
Inspector Will Rolls said: “Drug dealing isn’t a major problem in the Chichester district, but where we receive any information about dealing or possession, we will respond swiftly, as we did on Tuesday.
“Our aim is to disrupt the dealers and make the city and surrounding areas a hostile place for them and people trying to buy illegal drugs. If you have any information that could help us please call 101 or talk to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
The two men were bailed until July 10 and 12 respectively.
