THE MET Office has warned of ‘sleet or wet snow’ today (January 29), particularly over the Downs.
The warning is valid lasts until 9pm tonight for West Sussex.
Rain at times may be ‘locally persistent’, according to the Met Office, with a risk of localised flooding, especially in areas where there are ongoing concerns.
“As it turns colder, the rain could even turn to sleet or wet snow, more likely across the Downs and other hillier areas,” said a Met Office spokesman.
There is the chance of 15mm to 20mm of rain in a few areas of West Sussex.
