THE team at Buzby & Blue will be letting their hair down this weekend in celebration of being crowned Salon of the Year by Observer readers.

The hairdressing salon will be celebrating with a party after winning the top award.

“It feels amazing to be crowned Salon of the Year,” said Chris Friend, co-owner of Buzby & Blue hairdressers.

“We feel very privileged and proud to be given that title.”

The hairdressers, in The Hornet, Chichester, currently has ten trainee hairdressers and 35 members of staff, all of whom
have been trained by the team at Buzby & Blue.

“We feel we offer a great service and a great atmosphere the minute you walk through that door,” said Nigel Faulkner, the owner of Buzby & Blue.

“There is a great team here – all the staff enjoy coming to work.”

“It was originally a sports shop in here, but we refurbished it, creating a lovely space for our staff to work in and for our customers.”

Buzby & Blue is also planning to expand its business into the beauty sector later this year by hosting spa treatments upstairs in the salon.

“This award is really important to us because it means we have been recognised by the Observer area,” said Nigel.

“We’d just like to say thank you to anyone who voted for us – come and join in the fun!”
