Workshop explores local action for global change

The UN Association Chichester held a successful workshop, Local Action for Global Change, to examine the impact in the area of poverty and gender equality.

These are two of the United Nation’s 17 worldwide sustainable development goals for 2015 to 2030.

Led by Olivia Darby, from Wonder Foundation, the workshop at Christ Church, Chichester, on March 10 explored specific examples of initiatives in Chichester, Selsey and Emsworth, with a view to stimulating thought and further activity in the area.

Christina Darby, membership and communications co-ordinator, explained: “We are proposing to launch a small group in April with the aim of making a practical contribution locally in support of the UN’s worldwide sustainable development goals.”
