Man airlifted to hospital after Goodwood crash

A man had to be airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a car crash near Goodwood.

The 67-year-old was driving a black Volkswagen on the A285 near Goodwood yesterday (Thursday, June 30), when it collided with a blue Mercedes that was travelling southbound.

The driver, from Farnham in Surrey was taken to Kings College Hospital in London after the accident at 4.20pm.

The 63-year-old driver of the Mercedes and his 60-year-old female passenger, both from Maidenhead, Berkshire suffered slight injuries and were treated at St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester.
