Money for charities is going unclaimed

THOUSANDS of pounds of charity funding is still up for grabs from West Sussex County Council.

£8,000 remains unclaimed from South Chichester county local committee’s Community Initiative Fund for the 2012/13 financial year.

Charities and community projects in the South Chichester area are being urged not to miss out.

The deadline for applications is Friday, January 25.

“I would urge any individual or group in the South Chichester area who need assistance with a project that will benefit the community to send us their application before the deadline expires,” said committee chairman Mike Hall.

“The fund is an excellent scheme and through it we have been able to give grants to many projects which have made a real difference to people in our area.

“I’m sure there are lots more wonderful – and worthy – projects which could really benefit from our help.
