A PARADE of princesses through Chichester is aiming to set a world record.
Organisers of Chichester’s Taste! Christmas Extravaganza are looking to create the largest gathering of people dressed as princesses to break the world record, which stands at 351.
The princesses are all set to meet at the Cathedral Green at 9am on Saturday, December 13.
The procession starts at 9.15am, leading to County Hall and at 10am the official count will take place and there will be a sing-a-long before the event opens.
The extravaganza takes place outside County Hall from 10am-6pm that day and 11am-5pm the next day.
The only requirement is people must be dressed as princesses – they can be of any age or gender.
There is also a free screening of Frozen, the sing-a-long version, in the Martlets Restaurant at County Hall on the Sunday at 11am.
Tickets are also available for a story time on the Saturday, where the extravaganza’s ‘very own Snow Queen’ will read a story.
This takes place at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm on the Saturday, with tickets at £5 available from the Martlets restaurant on a first-come-first-served basis.
The Observer has received several pictures this week of people preparing to dress up as princesses for the big day, which have been published in the paper.
