Children at Central CoE Junior School have made their mark to celebrate the school’s 200th anniversary.
Pupils entered a competition to design a new logo and last week head of learning at Pallant House Gallery Marc Steene visited the school to judge all the entries, with prizes donated by the company Meritz.
The prize went to Year 4 pupil Sophie Carter and the logo will be used on a new polo shirt to be worn by pupils throughout the year.
It will also be used on all correspondence for the events.
Deputy head teacher Samantha Budd said: “It will be lovely for the children to have a special uniform for the year.”
The anniversary celebrations will also include a special service in Chichester Cathedral, and it is anticipated that former staff, governors and pupils will be able to attend the events throughout the year.
