New minibus for Chidham school

Through generous donations made by parents, teachers, friends and the community, Chidham Parochial Primary School have leased a school minibus.

Chidham Parochial Primary School is a growing primary school outside Chichester. It raise funds to support extra curricular activities and benefit from being able to enjoy visits to enhance learning.

The children at Chidham recently named the minibus ‘Chiddy’.

Year Four pupils said: “It’s great having our own minibus, we went to see Running Wild at the Chichester Theatre, which was brilliant”.

Claire Murphy, headteacher at Chidham Parochial School, said: “The children and teachers are delighted to have their own minibus; we can now attend events further afield and co-ordinate activities we would not have been able to attend before. We can also help our community by running a shuttle bus to and from Hambrook each day to support travel to school”.

Alanah Williams, PTFA Chair, said: “Thanks to the great fund raising events, from all the past and present PTFA, we can give the children at Chidham Primary school the opportunity to experience events we may not have been able to do before; I’m so proud of the school and everyone involved”.
