A TEAM specialising in mastectomy fashion has walked the streets of London in decorated bras.
Nine employees from the Nicola Jane Mastectomy Fashion team, which has a branch in Chichester, have walked 26.2 miles to raise money for those affected by breast cancer.
The London Moonwalk set off at midnight on Saturday, May 10 and walkers donned their bras to walk through the night.
Melissa Reeve, customer service manager, said: “One of the main reasons we take part in the MoonWalk each year is that Walk the Walk is such a great charity and directly helps our customers and other men and women who have been affected by breast cancer.
“Working at Nicola Jane, every day we speak to customers who have had breast cancer. It’s great to know the money we raise will directly help other people who have been affected by breast cancer.
“To prepare myself for the Moonwalk I have been training with my Nicola Jane team-mates, after work and also at the weekends.
“We are lucky to live in West Sussex, so we have been taking full advantage of the beautiful South Downs.
“My advice for anyone taking part or thinking of taking part next year would be to make sure you are prepared. The thought of training can be a bit daunting, but if you do it with a group of people or with the rest of your team, it can be quite fun, plus it’s great exercise!”
So far the team has raised more than £1,500 for charity Walk the Walk.
