THE idea to be part of a Manhood Peninsula-wide group to discuss housing development applications has been backed by North Mundham Parish Council.
Cllr Tim Russell opted to represent the council at a meeting for the newly formed group at Bracklesham Barn community centre, Bracklesham on March 21.
The aim of the group is to discuss upcoming housing developments and make a peninsula-wide decision on whether it backs any particular plan.
However concerns were raised about potential clashes of views in the future.
District councillor for North Mundham Paul Jarvis said planning policies around housing ‘seems to be a bit up in the air’.
Cllr Russell said: “We could end up in an embarrassing situation. If the council supports a future affordable housing scheme, the rest of the peninsula could go against that.”
