Nothing found in search for missing ferry passenger

A Selsey lifeboat was involved in the search for a woman missing from a ferry yesterday (January 21).

Selsey RNLI lifeboat was launched at 12.10pm to join another lifeboat and three aircraft in their search for a woman missing from a ferry travelling from Portsmouth to France.

Search teams were sent out at 7.20am when a woman’s unattended belongings and passport were found on the ferry.

The search was terminated at 4pm after nothing could be found.

Hampshire Constabulary is investigating.
