It was back to the classrooms for over 115 grandparents as Oakwood School pupils welcomed their extended families to school for a '˜Groovy Grandparents' morning.

After a hilarious assembly by a Year Three class on what grandparents mean to them, and some delicious home-made cakes in the library, the visitors were escorted to classrooms to join their grandchildren in lessons. With children learning about life as a penguin in the Antarctic (Year Two) to creating animated ‘clay-mation’ movies with Plasticine and iPads in the Art Room (Year Five) and adding and subtracting time (Year Three), the Oakwood grandparents certainly had an educational and entertaining morning.
