AN owner has contacted the Observer with a desperate plea to help track down her missing pet.
Toby, a Labrador, went missing on July 12 and owner Sarah Lane is appealing for anyone with information to come forward and help track down the beloved pet.
“Toby is a very special dog as we bred him ourselves and still have his mother and brother who miss him as much as we do,” she said.
“He had a tough start to life with it taking me almost 45 minutes to get him breathing after birth and then having an accident resulting in the loss of half his tail which makes him very distinctive as you don’t see many Labradors with only half a tail.
“He is nearly five years old and when he went missing he was wearing a blue collar with a tag and he is microchipped.
“We have contacted everyone we can think of – dog wardens, vets, kennels, RSPCA, local farmers and gamekeepers as well as putting up posters around the local area and searching for hours. Please help if you can.”
Toby went missing while being walked by a family friend between Loxwood and Kirdford in late afternoon or early evening on July 12 after chasing a rabbit.
Anyone who thinks they may have information regarding Toby can contact Sarah via the Observer by calling 01243 534121 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
