Police are investigating an assault near Chichester railway station that left two men injured, one with a double jaw fracture.

The incident happened around 4.10am on Sunday, December 28, by the taxi office outside the station.

British Transport Police (BTP) Detective Constable Phil Bibbings said: “A large group of people congregated by the station entrance shortly after 4am, when four men became involved in an argument that turned violent.

“One of the men suffered a double jaw fracture, while another received cuts and bruises.

“I want to identify one of the men in the group. I believe he has information that could help our investigation. He is described as white, aged between 25 and 30, a little under 6ft tall, of stocky build, with short hair.

“Were you in the crowd at Chichester station that Sunday morning, the last weekend of 2014? Did you see what happened? Do you know the man I am trying to find?”
