RESIDENTS will have the chance to contribute to planning the future of their village tomorrow (Saturday, June 29) when Fishbourne Parish Council launches its neighbourhood plan project.
The launch will be held at the Fishbourne Centre, in Blackboy Lane, from 10am to 2pm.
“This is the start of the consultation process,” said council chairman Geoff Hand. “We want to make sure the plan reflects the needs of the whole community, which is why we hope everyone will find the time to pop into the centre.
“There will be displays on the five main themes of the plan and the chance to talk to the councillors and other members of the task group.”
Cllr Hand said the plan would cover issues arising in the next 15 years, including where any housing should go, how to make highways safer and what to do about flood prevention.
