They were married at 1pm today in Capron House at Midhurst and drove the short distance to the polo grounds for their reception at the prestigious polo match.

“I am horse mad,” said Tascha, “and this event is so much fun, we thought it would be great to have our reception here.”

After the match the couple and their guests went on to their evening reception at The Lickfold Inn.

They were treated to some fast action and nail-biting moments in the Gold Cup final between Midhurst based La Indiana and the Thai team King Power Foxes who were defending their title of British Open Polo Champions having won the cup last year.

The match was played in front of a crowd of some 15,000 people, picnicking on the grassy slopes beside the polo pitch in sweltering heat.

Patron Michael Bickford led La Indiana playing with seven goaler Nic Roldan, Julian De Lusarreta (six goals) and eight goaler Agustin Merlos.

The ten goaler Pieres brothers Gonzalito and Facundo showed why they are arguably two of the best players in the world and with team mates Hugo Lewis and Tal Srivaddhanaprabha (son of patron Vichai) they eventually won the match 9 goals to 5 retaining the coveted cup.
