Pupils’ poems about poppies

CHILDREN at Jessie Younghusband School remembered fallen heroes through poppy theme poetry.

Year 6 pupils of the school in Woodlands Lane wrote poems about the symbolism of poppies in preparation for Armistice Day.

The children and staff attended a Remembrance Day Assembly on November 11 where the young poets presented their work.

Pupils who belong to the different youth organisations also attended.
