Puppy '˜stolen from Barnham home': Desperate appeal

A dog owner has made an urgent plea for help tracking down her puppy she said was stolen from her home in Barnham.

The Facebook appeal to find 14-week-old Golden Retriever Barney has already been shared more than 200,000 times.

Stephanie Scott’s post reads: “Our beautiful puppy was stolen from our house last night.

“Please please please make him too hot to handle and bring him home to his loving home.

“Please help us! Please share as much as you can. He was stolen from Barnham West Sussex!”

According to the poster, Barney was taken in a burglary on Thursday morning, March 23.

She said her home was burgled and the young puppy was stolen.

The Observer has contacted police to confirm the incident.
