A DEVELOPER has reduced the number of homes in one of its plans for the peninsula.
Wates Developments put in an application for 140 homes on land off Clappers Lane which stretches from Bracklesham to Earnley.
However, this number has been reduced to 110 homes in new plans.
The proposed site neighbours a site where 50 homes are being built.
Wates Developments’ new plans for 110 homes would include 44 affordable units.
Chichester District Council aims to make a decision on this application by Friday, October 31.
The developer has also lodged an appeal for 160 homes on the same site, as the council took too long to decide on the application.
This will be heard on Wednesday, October 29, starting at 10am in the Assembly Rooms, North Street, Chichester.
The public are welcome to attend the meeting, which will be a public inquiry.
The decision is expected to be made six weeks after the inquiry – so it should come after the council’s decision on the new 110-home plans for the site.
