FLOOD warnings have been issued this morning (December 14) for the coastline between Bracklesham and Thorney Island.
The warning from the Environment Agency especially mentions the areas of Bosham, West Wittering and West Itchenor, including Chidham, Broadbridge and Bosham Hoe.
High tide today is at 11:32am and strong winds and large waves will be generated as low pressure moves across the region, according to the warning.
In combination with high tides this has presented a possibility of tidal flooding.
The Environment Agency added: “We expect Shore Road, in Bosham to be under water as well as lower parts of Bosham Lane and the High Street in Bosham.
“Tides are not forecast to be as high as in October 2012 however.
“Tides will remain high in the area for much of the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation.”
