Rotary ride cheques presented

Money raised at a Rotary cycle ride has been presented to a prostate cancer support group.

The Father’s Day sponsored ride was organised by Littlehampton Rotary Club and Bognor Regis Rotary Club and the two clubs raised a total of £1,200.

Neil Holloway, the Bognor Regis club secretary, and Mike Turner, the Littlehampton club president, presented separate cheques to Roger Bacon from Chichester PCaSO Prostate Cancer Network.

Rotarian Geoff Watts, press officer of Littlehampton Rotary Club, said: “It was a great effort by the riders and thankfully the rain kept off.

“This is an RIBI (Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland) event and Rotary clubs throughout the UK and Ireland took part. I expect we will do it all over again next year.”
