Salon proceeds to help children in danger

An Aldwick hair salon donated all its proceeds to UNICEF during a special fundraising day earlier this month.

On Friday, February 10, Richard Pearce Hairdressing gave all salon proceeds to helping children in war-torn Aleppo.

Richard Pearce said: “We had a tremendous turn out and raised £1,008 for UNICEF to help children in danger, particularly the children caught up in war torn Aleppo.

“I found it heartbreaking watching what was happening on the news over Christmas and decided I’d like to do something in my own small way.

“I decided that on Friday, February 10, me and my team at my salon would have a day doing only cut and blow dries. Instead of being charged for the service, we’d ask instead for a donation to UNICEF.

“My team were all fully behind the idea and I can’t thank our customers on the day enough for their support.”
