So many people took a selfie with Pudsey in Chichester on Friday that the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory managed to raise £1,512.84 for Children in Need.
The club arranged a day at the Market Cross to collect for Children in Need with Pudsey Bear in attendance.
Loads of people visited to meet Pudsey, have a hug and take a selfie.
“What a great result,” said a club spokesman.
“We collected £1,512.84 at The Cross, much of which will be Gift Aided to increase this by a further 25 per cent.
“A really big thank you to those who joined us to have such a happy fun day, and it was great to have Fordwater School’s band and choir performing alongside us.
“Rotary is in Partnership with BBC Children in Need, whose vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.
“With our help and the generosity of the citizens of Chichester, this collection will help CiN fund further work for disadvantaged children and young people in our area and across the UK.”
