WITH National Volunteers’ Week upon us, Skillshare West Sussex is looking to match skilled volunteers with short-term charitable projects.

Kate Scales, of Voluntary Action Arun and Chichester, said: “Voluntary and community groups across West Sussex rely on the support of volunteers but we appreciate not everyone has the time to commit to long term volunteering placements.

“You don’t have to be a web guru or an engineering genius to help, just have a bit of enthusiasm and a willingness to help.”

Maggie Haynes, manager of Tuppenny Barn, in Southbourne, said: “Skillshare has enabled us to get tasks done in a day that normally would take at least a week.

“Having a team of volunteers by advertising our tasks on Skillshare has proved very successful.”
