A PLANNING inspector has overturned another district council planning refusal – seeing 59 more homes getting the green light for Tangmere.
The application was originally refused earlier this year by Chichester District Council, for land off Meadow Way.
One of the reasons the application was refused was because the council said it represented a poor use of the site, with a large area of open space separating it from the rest of the village. It also raised drainage concerns.
However, planning inspector Terry Phillimore disagreed with the council, saying it was a ‘sustainable development’ and the proposal had no adverse impacts that would significantly outweigh the benefits.
The appeal was made by Aidan Heathcote on behalf of David Brooks and family.
