Rural churches are being targeted by thieves across Chichester District.
Chichester Police is appealing for information or witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity near churches in the area.
Recent incidients include damage caused and entry gained at St Georges Church, Selsey Road, Donnington last night (Saturday, February 2).
Lead was taken from the roof of St Mary and St Gabriel Church, in South Harting between Monday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 1.
There have also been thefts of small amounts of cash from collection boxes.
Police said they will continue to work with churches to prevent any further offences.
