Man taken to hospital following chlorine leak

A MAN was taken to hospital yesterday (Wednesday, February 20) following a chlorine leak.

Firefighters were called to a pumping station in Walderton, Chichester, at 8.49am.

They discovered a small leak from a chlorine cylinder in open air.

One man was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering from inhalation of chlorine gas.

Crews from Chichester and Havant were at the scene until shortly before 9.20am.
